So blatantly partisan.
sorry, I don't always read every single post before responding. My bad. I'm not blatantly partisan, not even to the Libertarians, but that's probably the closest to what I believe. Don't lump me with the dems. I'm pretty sure on economic issues I'm more conservative and pro-free market than you are.

Via CB, a really good article on the American Thinker:

Think Twice About Closing Gitmo

Outside of detroitdad (sorry SoCal, yours doesn't count), I never got any serious replies to my 4 questions about Gitmo. It's easy to use it as a civil liberties bumpersticker, but it's much harder to come up with good alternatives. I'm truly curious if any of you have any.

Again, I answered your question about a good alternative.

You just can't respond without resorting to the "bumper sticker" stuff you claim not to like.

Sorry, I'm not going to go read an 86-page PDF to try and glean your answers to my questions. Feel free to boil it down to some key points, if you want.

Via Brit Hume's "Special Report":

Quote:
At least 30 former detainees at the Guantanamo Bay detention facility have gone back into action against coalition forces one way or another since being released. Pentagon spokesman Commander Jeffrey Gordon says that while in custody the detainees had falsely claimed to be ordinary civilians or low-level combatants.

Gordon says that while the U.S. does not actively track detainees after their release, the Pentagon became aware of their return to combat through intelligence sources and media reports. Gordon says some of the former detainees have been killed on the battlefield. Others have participated in propaganda efforts such as making films, writing books and public speaking.
And I still have yet to hear some honest answers to my honest questions, detroitddad excepted.
