Default Can somebody explain what the hell is going on

with Tour de France this year?

1, I can't find any coverage on this anywhere??!! I got into it the last few years through developing relationship with some guys in our French office I've collobarated with, and Armstrong was an interesting guy to follow.

2, What the hell's going on with all the substance abuse? Is there anyone left to win?

Can someone give me the condensed version?

Current leaders are very close, Contador from Discovery, Cadel Evans from Lotto Predicto, and Levi Leipheimer.

Rasmussen of Rabobank was yanked because he mysteriously missed some test dates and lied about his whereabouts.

Vino cheated during two stageswhich he won and was disqualified.

Sinkewitz of T Mobile was not allowed to start.

It's on versus.

Jay, jay Jay. We have a whole stinkin' forum devoted to cycling and a group of us have spent the better part of a month analyzing this race and now you expect us to do a cliff notes version? Sorry my firend, read the forum, it's all there. If you have a specific question, ask away.

Just to clarify, Sinkewitz did start but wuthdrew following an injury received in a collision with a spectator AFTER a stage had finished (he was rolling to his team bus). His positive resuklt was for a test taken in June but only released just after he had withdrawn.

Also, vino tested positive twice, but it is unclear if he doped once or twice. Given the method of his doping (homologous transfusion) he could have tested positive twice but only doped once. Arguably the cheating effects might have carried over to both stages, however.
