So, we know that John and the 3 Nephites were given the 'gift' to live until Jesus comes again. So the question is two fold:

1. Why is that the Priesthood was restored when these 4 held all the keys? Was it restored because it was given to the natural man again where as they are not 'natural?' Really, with these four around, the Priesthood never left the earth because they held the keys...or were the keys revoked during the Dark ages and then restored back to them when Joseph received them?

2. Are they very low key in that they dress the part of current man and just fit in society yet are preaching the gospel with all their might? Or do they just step in when absolutely needed? Do they take on the appearance of where they are or...

These questions are obviously not a big deal at all, I was just curious as to your thoughts.

i believe the keys restored were all powers of the priesthood....

they didnt possess the keys of the first presidency of the church and thus these keys needed to be passed down....

im assuming they werent given these keys to not allow them to organize a true church and allow for the restoration....

as far as the aaronic priesthood, i dont know why youd need celestial visitation, im assuming they are resurrected beings already.

Correct me if I am wrong...but John was one of the 12 apostles. And the 3 Nephites were three of the 12 apostles that Jesus called when he visited in 3Nephi. So, wouldn't they all have the keys?

How would the three Nephites be resurrected beings if they were given power over death. They are to live forever, so I do not believe resurrection has taken place

And I wonder the same thing about jobs...how do they get the money to get around? I have a feeling that they travel seperately, but do they get together for vacations and catch up. These are true doctrinal questions!

the prophet and his counselors have different keys not given to the other apostles....

i believe they all possess the keys of being prophets, seers, etc, but i think the prophet and his presidency have additional keys that are bestowed upon them by the whole group of apostles.....joseph fielding smith talks of this in doctrines of salvation, how all the apostles contain keys and when a prophet dies collectively they have all the keys to bestow upon the new prophet....

if you dont have all of the apostles you cant have the full keys of the priesthood, without the full keys of the priesthood you cant organize a church....

when i talked of ressurection i was talking of john, and peter, james, and john must be beings with bodies of flesh and blood, how else could they lay on hands? i think the 3 nephites, and john were quickened beings. they were quickened, meaning probably died and brought to life again to never taste death again....

I believe that the prophet, first presidency and all the apostles have the exact same keys but do not have the authority to act on the keys or have 'permission' to use the keys to its fullest extent. I don't believe that there are any additional keys.

Interesting point on the quickened and the laying on of hands.

But you have not answered the BIG questions...do they have jobs? I do have a strong feeling though that if they do have jobs, they are not involved with an MLM (even though you can make a HUGE amount of money on a short time basis).

the way they get money is simple.....

they own stock in casinos, coke, and budweiser....the church gave them this stock and they are just cash in stock when in need of funds....

im sure before the restoration of the church they were involved in some type of pirateering, akin to the utes.

maybe the ute pirate ship is a revelation, a manifesation of sorts of the veracity of these 4 individuals.

More importantly,

If the gospel is to be preached by the mouth of two or more, and John is riding solo....do he and the Nephites go on splits?
