my wife purchased "The Legend of Bagger Vance" over the weekend, thinking that I would enjoy it because of the golf.

It was a good show, but if it had been up to me, I would have edited out the Charlize Theron character and focussed solely on the golf part of the story.

Did you read the book? I thought it was excellent. I didn't care much for the film.

She is very nice to look at, but I don't like movies with any sort of love interest in it. It annoys me and I believe is only there to attract the chicks and more effeminate straight males.

No, I haven't read it but would like to. Books are almost always better than the movie, so I'm glad to have seen the movie first.
