I concur that some compromises are necessary, but I think locals should have a signficant say and to suggest that ranchers all desecrate the land by the nature of their enterprise (as I perceive you have done, admitting I have only skimmed your posts) is, likewise, pure tripe. Maybe the wolf should be introduced. Maybe this will be good in the long run. Maybe the intruoduction needs ot be more moderate. Either way, I prefer that the locals have the most say in the administration of the plan. That's all.

Btw, there are mnay posts showing how ignorant I am, so you should probabyl try a little harder to insult me.
Didn't want to go there with the insulting -- sorry.

Agree that locals should have a large seat at the table. But don't you see that they already do and they already dominate western land use policies? If you don't, then you have some background reading to do.

And what really bothers me about people like Landpoke, GN, and Archaea is that they ignore the locals who disagree with them. Anyone who disagrees with them (even the sacred locals) are envirowankers who should be locked out of the discussion, for the only locals who matter are the ranchers. Not to mention the rest of interested Americans who care about how their public lands are managed. They would completely shut them out.
