And as I pointed out yesterday McCain reneged, on their joint agreement to keep the campaign above-the-belt all the way back in April.

McCain likes to use his honorable service defending this country to assert that he's a man of honor. But the one does not, in and of itself, imply the other.

There are dozens or hundreds of reasons for conservatives to oppose Obama on policy, so there's no reason to try to make arguments that one would vote for McCain because he's the better man. Those arguments are tenuous at best.
American and proud of it and has proven it. Not sure about Ohbama; sad to say. Interestingly, Ohbama's wife is nowwhere to be seen. Wonder why they are hiding her? She would make a lovely first lady wouldn't she. They are so embarassed of her that they have to hide her.

While any McCain shadiness is no excuse for the Messiah, I was originally referring to the media's absence on the topic. They used to think money was a big problem in politics ... no more?

As a side note, it's remarkable, isn't it, that Obama is able to raise such stunning sums of money from "small donations" in a crisis economy?

500,000 first-time donors in August. Pretty impressive.

As far as your other quesetion goes, I don't think the reporters are mentioning the money right now, because the disparity isn't impacting the race. McCain is in the middle of effective and very expensive advertising campaigns. For right now there's nothing to report. If McCain falls behind and can't run ads in the swing states, you bet they'll report it first thing, probably with an undercurrent of thinly-veiled glee.

... suggesting that the economy may not be as bad as Obama says, eh?

So, money impacted previous races? Kerry? Gore? I don't buy it.
