Hey Utah hicks/Footloose stars,
Stop hijacking my thread and answer the question:
What did Matheson's district look like when he first won?

Sheesh! Whatta baby. Matheson's district used to be Northern Utah County, all of SL County, Tooele and Southern Davis.

When Matheson first won, was it essentially a SL valley district? Did the gerrymandering then add on southern Utah in an attempt to defeat him?
Carbon County has a tradition of Democratic politics due to it's large non-LDS population and union control of mine workers. Emery is not a Democratic county.

Yes. Matheson essentially won a SL valley district. If gerrymandering is unfavorable, it is almost always an attempt to defeat an incumbent from a different party than the apportioners.

Anything else Dr. Princess?
