Caught me another bass yesterday. Bigger than the one picture above. On a spoon-type lure with a bare fringe next to the treble hook. Blue.

Disappointed I didn't do better. I still have a lot to learn. I caught it in the exact same pond, in the exact same place as I did the first one. Different lure though. I gave the lure to one of the parents and he caught a bass on it as well, which he said was bigger (sure).

Good times. Only one scout wanted to fish, and he didn't catch jack.

Oh, and I did go into the water to rescue that lure that caught the fish, when the parent got it hung up and his line broke. Good thing, because he caught his fish after I rescued the lure. Can't let 99 cents be wasted.
