Default Do you think Senator Reid will

have his recommend suspended. He said some mormon leaders, specifically Ezra T. Benson, have lead members down the wrong path.

I hope Jefe isn't his Bishop. He might get excommunicated.

Let me amend what I said. I actually hope Jefe is his Bishop and does excommunicate him. Then we can end this ongoing discussion of whether you can be a good mormon and a democrat.

It's not a question of whether you can be a Democrat and still be a good Mormon, it's a question can you do and say the things that Reid has and still be able to look at yourself in the mirror, given your Mormon principles.

Can Senator Hatch look himself in the mirror? I am not privy to their interviews with their Bishops and therefor I can not judge those questions.

However, as his Bishop I might ask him to amend his statement about leaders leading members down the wrong path.

All he would have to do is say "some members can't differentiate between leaders of the church and their religious speak vs their political speak". It's really the members fault if they believe a leader of the church speaking politically needs to be followed politically.

Who the hell cares about their Bishops? I'm talking about Reid judging Reid.

Not really, you are talking about Indy judging Reid. You kind of get that mixed up now and then.

Of course he can look himself in the mirror. I think he indicated he has a Temple recommend. Why couldn't he look himself in the mirror if Reid is judging Reid.

I read the snippet from the Deseret News. I can't think of anything that I would disagree with.

If Indy doesn't think ETB was damaging in terms of the things he said over the pulpit, then he has really drunk the koolaid.

No, I'm genuinely curious how he honestly judges himself. I already know how I judge him, so that isn't a matter of curiosity to me.

Getting a temple recommend is hardly an indication that people are honest with their bishops nor themselves. I've got multiple people in my extended family that are prime examples of that.
