How many years of coaching experience did Crowton have before he was hired by BYU? Was it close to 20?

Ha ha.

Not funny.

I am hoping Hill takes over the DC duties. Bronco needs to learn how to be the HC. Maybe Hill can teach how to wrap when tackling and teach the dbs to turn their freaking head and look for the ball.

Call me shallow, but if BYU wins every game 2-0, I'm not going to be tuning in. I don't need 400+ yards passing and 20+ point winning margins every game, but I need something more than 2-0.

I'm one of those traditionalists that everyone hates. I want us to be a passing team that scores a lot of points. Like the old days.

Why do you say that everyone hates you because you like high yardage and points? I think that anyone who was raised in the "glory days" of BYU football shares those feelings. When I was a kid, I would hope for a botched kick-off return that pinned us inside the 10, just so Ty Detmer or Robbie Bosco or whoever could rack up more passing yards. I don't really care if the team wins by 1 point or 40 points, just as long as they put the ball in the end zone early and often. Does that make me a zoobie?

What do you like about the guy? I'm about 1,000 miles removed from spring practice and am totally out of the loop.

From what I've heard out of practice, is that he's an "in-your-face" type of coach and is EXTREMELY knowledgeable. All the players have gone out of their way to mention that. He puts a huge emphasis on teaching technique to our young db's. He also has earned the respect of all the players.

On a side note, he's kind of short. I'm about 5' 11" and when I saw him, he looked around 5' 8" - 5' 9".

All in all, he seems to be a great fit for BYU and BYU is a great fit for he and his family. Coach Hill sat with Coach Mendenhall's wife and family at the Blue and White game. The Hills were decked out in BYU gear.
