Default Most shameful moment of last night's game

Gay Cosmo performing before Elder Perry at halftime and later giving him a high five.

Dude, that halftime show sucked. I just couldn't figure the dancing cosmo/fat cat thing out. Very gay. I don't know why the students were cheering unless it is somehow cool to be gay nowdays. The yoyo with the yoyo was pretty boring as far as yoyoing goes - he should have at least done tricks with two yoyos at a time. BYU has really gone low-budget on their halftime shows.

Mrs. Meanie said she would have rather seen the BMX bike dudes. I wholeheartedly agreed. I would have rather seen just plain cheerleader dudes throwing the cheerleader girls up in the air than that lame halftime show.

The BMX dudes were cool. I haven't seen them for a couple years.

Remember when the jumprope kids were doing their halftime show and the Utes came out and started warming up when the show was still going on? I think this was during the Britton Johnson years.

That incident stands out in my mind as a classic example of "Uteness".

Well I wouldn't mind if they retired the jump rope kids.

The absolute worst halftime shows were those mini drill teams full of 4-10 year old girls. Do they still have those?

Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.

I used to think that until my daughters participated in those halftime shows.

This will probably date me, but the absolute worst half-time shows were when the International Folk Dance Team used to perform. Not sure if that group is still around.

Default wheelman

At a recent NBA game they had this guy who does tricks in a 7-ft diameter wheel. That was cool. He was promoting an upcoming performance of Cirque du Soleil.
