Well, truthfully, I am not a huge purveyor of porn, so not sure.

But I am sure about business....

Palin is a hot commodity right now (no pun intended). As such, pornographers know that men are having Palin sex fantasies. As such, they make a Palin porn flick. The purpose is not to make those guys laugh...or even to poke fun at Palin. There is no political or social agenda attached to these movies. The sole purpose is to get over-sexed men to spend money on their sex fantasies.

Yes, I think the Palin pick was a disaster and have felt that way from day one. This is just one issue out of many. I guess I let you carry the water on this particular angle since the argument has more weight coming from a woman.

Have you ever stopped to consider for a moment that porn is actually empowering to women? That pornographic movies are studies in strong women celebrating their own sexuality?

Palin is a strong woman so it's only natural that those in the porn industry, those who consistently celebrate the strong, confident woman in their movies, would be attracted to her story.

They did show what moderns would consider pornographic stuff. Nero is reported to have sponsored a public re-enactment of Pasiphae having sex with a bull (she was the mythic mother of the minotaur). (Suetonius, Life of Nero 12). And there was all sorts of tomfoolery that went on in the theater. Greek comic actors wore enormous phalluses along with their masks.

It was Christian morality that ended such practices.
