Also, it would increase my odds of ever dunking a ball, which are prety much minimal right now.
I could dunk a basketball at 5'9" (with shoes on). Of course that was 15 years and 10 pounds ago. Its one of the many things that a mission forever cured me of. Now I can't even touch the rim, but I can slap the backboard really loudly, which is practically as intimidating as dunking anyway.

I could never dunk but touch the rim. Now I'm happy I touch the net.

I'm 5'10". I used to be able jum high enough to dunk, theoretically I think. Two-foot jumping an average-sized or slightly less-so, were factors that prevented me.

But.........I can still grab the rim here in my old age.

Yes, I can dunk a basketball.

Apologies for laughing, but a 6 foot 6 admitting he can dunk is like Angelie Jolie admitting she has curves.

As a known white guy, I felt the need to state the ability to jump.

Many of us have seen the tall, skinny white guy in ward ball who can't dunk, shoot, dribble, or rebound. He fouls alot, though.

I am not that guy, although my back prefers that I play tennis.

Well, at 5'8" and being able to grab the rim until 40, I would have hoped a 6'6" guy could dunk. So apologies extended. My 5'10" roommate my freshman year astounded me by doing spinning dunks out in front of Q Hall or wherever the nearest courts were. That you are athletic is a given.

I no longer work on exploding so I've lost any leaping ability. But then again you let me think about Jolie's curves, so I hope it's all good.

Is there some reason you used 'exploding' and "Jolie's curves" in the same paragraph? Feel a need to see the bishop now?

5'11 7/8 to 6', so I put myself in the 6'0" to 6'1" range, because I measure at 6' even most often.

And when I was a little bit younger, I could dunk a basketball. Did a two-hander, once. Could dunk a volleyball pretty easily.

I was a high jumper in high school (not a great one, but I did 6' in practice once - my best in a meet was 5'10"), and I could routinely outjump the un-pasty guys.

I'm tempted to do a psychoanalytic interpretation of "dunk."
