Cool finding. It's probably something naturally occurring that they haven't seen before, but who knows for sure. It will be interesting if they can get SETI's radio telescopes to point at it.

I wonder what our sun would look like when viewed from far away. Some scientists believe that it has more than its share of "junk" surrounding it with how many planets, minor planets and how much debris in the kuiper belt and oort cloud it has. They speculate that our sun has more than its fair share for its size, and somehow "stole" a lot of it from the other stars in the cluster it was in when it formed. I also recently read another article about how they think they just found one of the sun's sister stars that is now about 100 light years away.
