I have ended up becoming good reasonably good friends with my last two docotrs, but that is also due to the fact that we live in the same community and so see each other at kids' games, schools, etc.

It's a particular liability to be a medical librarian, because you know way more terminology than the doctors are comfortable with you knowing.

Would she even know how to treat such a thing? I had an ear infection when I was pregnant and I asked my OB to look in my ears. He didn't even have an otiscope. I ended up asking my son's pediatrician to look. He did, but wouldn't prescribe me anything. I had to call my SIL who is a nurse practitioner in Utah to call in some meds for me.

how hard is it to have a family doctor or an internist? Sheesh.

For the plumbing, see your OB-Gyn. For everything else, see a PCP.
