Update on tragedy

So far, friend is alive, and in need of lots of therapy, but may not need spine surgery immediately. Missed dying by paralysis by microns and death by a bit more. The dude has nine lives, but four or five have been exhausted.

I've been speaking to him about the potential for becoming a poster boy for cycling awareness and stiffer penalties for crimes against cyclists. If anybody is involved with these groups please send information you have so that I may compile a complete aggregation of legal codes.
