Enjoyed this article. I would love to see Leach at Auburn.

I would love to see Leach someday at BYU, however unlikely it is.

Michael Lewis is a great writer. Moneyball and The Blind Side are two of my favorite sports books.

I like this line from Leach:
"Basically I'm a religious person, but with some clear obedience and discipline issues."

A friend of mine took a math class with Leach at BYU. He says he was one of the smartest people in the class, and wonders if Leach ever had to even crack the book open.

Pepperdine is a fine school, coming in at #59 in the rankings. I would say that clearly establishes him as brighter than you.

Did you miss Utah ranked higher than Pepperdine on this laws school list? What's interesting about these lists (there's an extensive thread about this on Cuff with many links) is that if you really examine them you see that in the areas in which BYU purportedly excells--undergraduate, law and business--Utah and BYU are neck and neck in the rankings.

Indeed, when you consider the inherent subjectivity, the differences are inconsequential. In undergrad, Utah, WA State, and Oregon are comparable.

As for areas in which Utah ecxels, BYU is non-existent.

I know you're trolling but BYU was downgraded from previous higher positions for a very subjective reason, its women graduates often fail to take fulltime jobs, thereby jeopardizing its job placement ratio, something BYU objected to, but was overruled. I bet to a lesser extent Utah experienced some downgrading as well.

I'm not trolling. You should know I really consider BYU despicable for a host of reasons, its treatment of women perhaps chief among them. I think that's a legitimate reason to downgrade BYU, if that's really the explanation.
