Default God rewards the wicked

From Mat 5:44-45:
Quote:
Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
So God is going to send good things to those who do good as well as to those who do evil, and he is going to send trials and suffering to those who do good and those who do evil. It is not random! The wicked who prosper are prospering under God's direct supervision, and the righteous who suffer are suffering under God's direct supervision.

I guess that is why it is imperative that a person forgives his enemies, rather that waiting for God to intervene and smite them, because if you are a good person who has been receiving rain, and your enemies are wicked people who have been receiving sun, he may very well be the one doing it, and it may NEVER change during this life.
