Mitt gets his second gold
He sure looked relieved in his "winners" speech.
Nice to see someone from the tribe do well.

I bet Mike is upset. He wants Mitt to be humiliated. I guess Mike will have to wait until South Carolina for that to happen.
Nevada will likely give its delegates to Mitt. I hope Fred thompson destroys Huck. Maybe Mitt can rebound with this win.

Mitt beat out Huck among born-agains. Well, at least tie. Don't know if this is statistically significant.

He won't be humiliated in South Carolina. To the contrary, he has very low expectations there that he is almost certain to exceed. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he finishes within 5 points of the winner, possibly as high as 2nd.

Exactly. Mitt is playing the expectations game well. He's not even going to be in SC after today. Why should he when the demographic of evangelicals and military people plays right into the hand so Huck and McCain? Instead, Romeny goes to Nevada where there are MORE delegates at stake than SC anyway, and where there are significant amounts of Mormons.

in November? ... Michigan will go to the Dems Wyo and Nevada will probably vote for anyone with an Elephant next to his name. SC will likely go Republican, but maybe not for Romney. McCain is strong in NH, he might win there in Nov. Huck did well in Iowa, a state that could fall either way. FL seems to be a dead heat between Giuliani and McCain, with Huck and Romney on the second tier. Bottom line, Romney is winning the states that matter the least to the Republicans in Nov. While the others are splitting the Rep strongholds in the South. |
