Isn't that a horrible story? Makes me sick. She lived in West Dayton, which is a pretty rough area. There is a youtube series called a Tour of Poor Dayton highlighting some of these places. Here is the area where she lived:

Peerless Price and Sheldon Williams also grew up in this area. I live about ten miles north in the suburbs. Will Allen, the Buccaneer, grew up in my neighborhood.

Sorry, but that is a sorry excuse for a "rough part of town."

1. No graffiti
2. No homeless on the street
3. No prostitutes anywhere
4. No trash all over the ground..in fact, the whole place was very clean
5. No old couches on the sidewalks
6. No burned out houses or burning oil drums
7. No crazy people
8. No visible liquor stores or wig shops
9. No bars on any windows
10. No Church's Chicken

Once a home gets condemned, that is usually when the real party starts.

Get back to me when Dayton gets tougher.

PS I did laugh a LOT at the fact that this lunatic is driving all over the place holding a camcorder, turning to get different shots up and down the street, across intersections, etc....all while driving his car.

Another sign of imminent danger: manicured and common area lawns.

I would hate to see what happens in those neighborhoods when trash is left outside the dumpster!

Eat it sucka. We're number 19. Finderson has nothing on myboynoah. Memphis is 8, six spots ahead of Compton.

I'm certain it was terrifying for your parents when Thousand Oaks dropped to 7 as America's safest city.

It only dropped to 7 because Marion Jones got busted for steroids and floating bad checks. Also, Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn had a little domestic dust-up, but they worked it out and are cool now.
