I was only kidding about fat people, btw. I love and respect fat people.
Do we get somebody confessing, "I know a fat person, who was once my neighbor. Confidentially, fat people have feelings and bank accounts too. We should not be so fatist and allow fat people their space."

I love fat people for practical purposes.....there are more of them than there are of me, so why fight it?

I am sure many friends come across our blog and say, "Damn, Surfah got fat!"

But then they see Gidget and say, "Damn, nice pull for Surfah!" and I feel better.

When I left on my mission, my sister was married, they recently purchased a house and a small business together, and they just had a one month old baby.

During my two years out he cheated on her, she kicked him out, he moved in with the other girl, and while there he got a different girl pregnant.

The business flopped, they divorced, my sister couldn't afford the house payments, and had to have her ex's wages garnished for support, because he refused to voluntarily help with his child.

And she let herself go. When I got home after two years, I almost didn't recognize her. She easily put on 100+ lbs.

In high school, she was always so beautiful and had guys calling all the time. She took care of herself and was so pretty. This continued during the short marriage.

But through her losses, she let herself go. And I didn't feel like she needed me to point it out. I am sure she is well aware of what she looks like.

I enjoy watching "The Biggest Loser", and it always reminds me that a lot of times, behind the obesity is someone who is really hurting inside. I've tried to be better at not taking pot shots at overweight people, but I fail occasionally.

There is a guy in my ward who is absolutely enormous, easily 400 lbs. I've often thought about approaching him and asking if he would like someone to maybe go to the gym with him or just go to the Parkway and start a walking regimen, to see if we could get some weight off of him. I'd be willing to do it. But I really don't know him that well, and I fear he may take it the wrong way. So I've never said anything.

When we gave out fast offerings, we waited to see if they were overweight or not. If they were skinny, they got fast offerings, if not, they could rely upon their two year supplies.

Okay not really. I really don't know any obese people. Consequently, I'm not certain what to say or do for them.

I read something like this and I can't believe you're serious, that you really believe such absurdities. Then I'm reminded how your personal passions are such things as the Lakers, USC, and Dylan, and I realize, yes, you are pretty shallow.

Wow, I didnt know you hated gays and fat people so much.

Well, regardless of your prejudices, I will still continue loving all of them.

17 pounds in a month, if I am not careful I will soon become someone's fat friend.

How does one go about gaining 17 pounds in one month? I knew it can be done but I just can't see anyone letting it happen.
