I also had Elsha. Got me nothing more that a "you smell nice" or two. Probably because I didn't follow up properly. If I knew then what I know now...

When I was about 12 my mom gave me a small bottle of "English Leather".

Brut for me as well back in HS. I wanted to wear Polo, but at that time my finances didn't allow for such a frivolous purchase. My first expensive cologne was "Obsession" which was backed up by Drakkar. To this day, smelling either of those colognes takes me right back to 1988-89, my freshman year at the Y.

I was a frosh 89-90. DT R Hall, baby.

A friend of mine in DT wore "Electric Youth" perfume as a cologne. No joke. the Debbie Gibson perfume.

His strategy seemed to work well, as he was rarely sans female companionship.

Was Elsha more popular in Utah than elsewhere? Among Mormons? I've had this discussion with non-Utah, non-LDS people and hardly anyone's heard of Elsha.

I have never heard of it.

First cologne that I bought was Drakkar in the 8th grade. I also got Canoe the same year.

C - come on over
A - Alone
N - Now
O - Ohhh
E - EEEEE

Can you canoe?

I would say yes, Utah loves Elsha.

I rarely wore it, unless I thought it could convince a girl to go with me to the batting cage and feed the pitching machine for me.

What the hell is Elsha? Was this an Amway cologne or something?
