I watched a weight loss show once where they interviewed a bunch of fat people. It's the first time I realized that being overweight can be something of an identity crisis for people. They don't feel like they are the person that is being reflected on the outside. Very sad and disturbing. I've tried to be a bit more sensitive about fat people since then.

My church did this thing a few weeks ago where you were supposed to take something that's interfering with your ability to experience the joy of the Spirit, write that obstacle down, then nail it to the cross (don't ask). Anyhow, afterward the ministers took up all the anonymous "obstacles" and reviewed them that week; the next week they reported that over 50% of them had to do with either weight or appearance. That's just mind-boggling to me.

It's not mind-boggling. It's fat-jiggling.

Speak for yourself. I don't have anything to jiggle (much to Flash's dismay).
