Because he'll be so old going in, and because of his history of cancer, I'd want to see his VP selection.

I don't think he's too old. The greatest President in my life time was a geezer - Reagan. Perhaps what we need in the White House is someone who is older and not going to be blown about wherever the political winds take him. (I'd say her but the first woman President will be a conservative, IMO).

The past bouts with cancer are more important than age, so you're right about the choice for VP.

My comment was more along the lines that I won't ever vote for a Democrat for President. I just don't see any Dem that I think would be good for the country, so if McCaine is the Reps choice, he wins simply by being from the GOP.
