It wasn't a classic American car, but I still lament the day my Dad sold his 1959 Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider despite the fact that I was 4 when he sold it and I was unaware of what it really was until after my mission:
FWIW, I drove a 1985 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Turbo Delta on my mission: which was faster and handled better than the 1983 Fiat Ritmo that we drove before we got the Alfa Romeo:
