Gays & public bathrooms
I've said a lot of nice, supportive things about gays here. I support gay marriage. But this gay subculture of anonymous, bathroom sex sickens me. What's up with that? Get a hotel room for pete's sake. I blame it on the fact that they're men, not gay per se. Men are beasts.

I would tend to agree most of it relates to being male, but something about the gay subculture that also lends itself to a bit of the seedier side of life as well. What that is I do not know. For reasons which are irrelevant, I have regulatory knowledge of bathhouses, and it's not for the faint of heart.

Uh, I venture many would be if women were inclined to join them in the endeavor. I think the problem is with gays you've got men on both sides of the enterprise.

With gay men, you have two male libidos unchecked by female sensibilities. Men are light switches, women require a warm up session and a smelly bathroom doesn't exactly provide for ample warm up. Guys are not by nature olifactorily inclined. Why do bedrooms have incents? Usually for the female senses.

Aren't most of the bathroom purveyors not "gay" in the classic "I only do it with men" sense? From my understanding the bathroom prowlers are usually those with straight lives that like to have anonymous sex with men. It's called living on the downlow.

Stuff like this really pisses me off. I mean, kids could be walking in there...
I really think they should hammer people that do this kind of stuff.

His answer, "No, they're just that repressed." His claim is that the bathroom set are gay men who have not come out of the closet and live in fear of being found out. He says these are the same men who post on Craig's List for afternoon encounters. They have wives, children, and jobs that they might lose if they were caught fellating the pool boy some Saturday morning. According to him, "regular" gay men are just as disgusted by this... |

It's certainly not the best smelling or most comfortable place to let loose.
