Biggest upsets ever
my bad, Oregon State defeated Washington not USC in 1985.

BYU was 37 point favorites against UTEP in 1985. Surprising that didn't make the list as BYU was ranked 7th at the time and it was the only game UTEP won all year.

I agree that was a horrific loss, one that should reach into that list. That list though seems to identify mostly top five teams with the exception of the Washington loss.

In fact, BYU dropped from 7th to 17th after the loss. They then proceeded to beat Wyoming 59-0 and dropped to 18th the next week. They beat Utah State 44-0 the week after that and only moved up to 16th.

Wasn't that Utep game the one where the rumor/myth had been and has been circled about for years about UTEP bugging the BYU coaches box and listening in on play calls and what not?
I always chuckle when I hear that one.
