Default Mapmyride.com testimonial

As I finished my morning ride today, I was putting the bike back in the trunk of the car when another car came screeching into the parking area. Eager to see other skinny tire riders, he jumped out and asked if we knew anything about some area bike routes. He was visiting in town for his son's swim meet and snuck away from the pool for a quick ride.

As he pulled out his three maps of rides to choose from, wouldn't you know that the first map he showed me was mapped online by none other than our very own SteelBlue. The second map was created by yours truly. The third was not a very good route, likely created by some wannabe-rider.

He chose the second ride, feeling it a good omen to have met the map's creator in the ride parking area. It was a good choice for his time and water limits. He will try out Steel's route tomorrow, wildfire smoke willing.

That's very cool. I've wondered if anyone was reading those.

I love map my ride, although I think it's e;levation data is suspect. I have plotted several out and backs and the elevation chart is not symmetrical. How can that be? Plus, when I comare it to my GPS topo software, there are some pretty big difference. OTOH, it is great to have the mapping and log all in one place. Very cool the guy found you at that moment. good job.
