Ride, April 14th?
Spring football game, ride?
Let me know. We could do the Canyon thing or the Alpine loop thing back to Provo. If we started at five, it would take about four, unless we hammered.

I'm down. I'll just need a lift from Redding to Provo.

Would you mind sharing more information about the ride before I commit to putting myself through a lot of punishment?

I don't think I'll go down into Alpine as coming back is a pain (i.e., I get lost and have beer can thrown at me in Alpine).

I'm pretty sure Axl Rose was referring to riding with Archaea when he sang "You know where you are? You're in the jungle baby! You're gonna die."

Well depending upon participants, I hope to leave the Cotton Tree where I usually stay and head up the Canyon past Sundance to the top. It's a nice little climb. You many not wish to take the climb with zero experience. Instead of descending into Alpine, we'll just retrace our steps to make it shorter and more direct.

We can go until we meet snow and turn around and look for more road. You forget I live in Vegas, where we've already hit ninety.

That's why I brought it up.
According to this brochure, it typically opens in late May: http://www.fs.fed.us/r4/maps/brochur...lpine_loop.pdf You will be able to get to the gate just past Aspen Grove.
