Default Bronco rumored to UCLA

Two names keep coming up should a coaching change occur at UCLA: Boise State's Chris Petersen and BYU's Bronco Mendenhall.

And I wouldn't be shocked if Texas Tech's Mike Leach becomes a player for the UCLA job if he opts to leave Lubbock on his own accord. But if Mendenhall left BYU for UCLA, would Leach be interested in going to BYU, his alma mater?

In the current mullah climate, I have a hard time seeing Leach being acceptable to BYU brass, or even Leach wanting to come to BYU. The guy makes good money in a better conference.

I do think it is GREAT for BYU to have Bronco in the mix at bigtime schools.

Boy would that be interesting if Bronco went to UCLA and Anae was named BYU HC.

The game next year against UCLA would be must-see. Hell hath no fury like a virgin pimply 19 year old BYU student scorned.

What are the chances that UCLA hires the coach it recently beat?

At least that means there will only be 4-5 coaches they wouldn't be able to hire then.

This is my point....of all the people you are going to go after, why him? If you are willing to go after coaches that arent on the market, why start there? Why not go for someone bigger? Also, what kind of sell is that to boosters? A guy whom your crummy team actually beat this season? Booster at fucla are desperate for some LA limelight. They need to pull off a more glamour move than Bronco.

That being said, I think Bronco would be a good hire. First order of business would be to tell Ben Olson's parents that Ben was going to play in a game, then when they show up, dont play Ben.

I don't know which rumore is more ridiculous, Bronco to UCLA or Leach to BYU.
Bronco's not going anywhere. And Leach is NOT going to be hired by BYU. We went through this exercise after Crowton left. Leach was NOT a serious candidate then for good reasons, and he will not be ever, unless some things have changed.

More likely is Rick Neuheisel going back to LALA land.

LMBO! That would be freaking awesome. Hell will freeze over before Bronco goes to UCLA though. I'm sure BO would just be thrilled about it too.
