Andy Murray
If you have even a vague interest in tennis, you may know that Andy Murray of Dunblane, Scotland has a good shot at Wimbledon. If not this year, then in the future. His country has high hopes for it, as a native hasn't won that tournament in a very long time.
I'd been watching Murray for a while and knew his hometown, but somehow I never made the connection that he was from the town where a gunman killed 16 5-6 y-o kids back in 1996. In fact, Andy was an 8 y-o student at that school at the time. ESPN did a nice piece on the hope for turning around the association for the town that they ran during the Wimbledon coverage yesterday. http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/ten...ory?id=4290989 |

I've said I'm a Federer woman myself. Of course, I have enough love to go around for many of the mens players.

You know I beat your former tennis flame in every athletic contest we engaged in--racquetball, sprinting and bball.
