Shawn Bradley
He is usually regarded as a draft bust despite his 11 to 12 year NBA career. An interesting note, his sister cut my hair for a while and she informed me he never spent any principal of the money he made, only using interest on the investments.
For a guy considered to have had a disappointing career, the following link shows he earned in NBA salary alone almost $70 Million. Quote:
If only we could be such failures in life. He's actually had an interesting, rather unassuming life. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shawn_Bradley I did not know he ran for Congress in Utah.

Used to be in my stake. Topped out at 8 million per year, which is peanuts in the NBA for a center.

Yes but unlike many a superstar, he was wise with his money.

What do you expect? He's a non-urban white kid that grew up with two parents in the home, right?

I knew his grandfather, or grand uncle, as he was a high school German instructor of mine.
I'm trying to remember if his father lived throughout all high school. Despite not living up to high expectations, I kinda always respected him for trying to make it, even though he just didn't quite have it.

He was a decent defensive center. Just didn't live up to his draft status.
