You're always yapping about how he's the inevitable Republican nominee, he's the best "play" for McCain, etc. Yes, I think in a subconscious or back handed sort of way you are. Except for being a Democrat you're a total Mormon company man.

I think, in a subconscious or backhanded sort of way, your resentment of the LDS church is blinding you to the fact that most pundits believe Romney is going to be the pick, and that he is, politically, the safest pick available.

My acknowledgment of that fact is hardly an endorsement of Romney.

Who in the world do you find to be a better pick for the guy politically? The Republican cupboard is bare. That much this election cycle has made clear.

I've said I favor Romney. The only thing I don't look forward to is a bunch of blather around here about "a Mormon being a heartbeat from the presidency."

I favor him for the right reasons. As the old saying goes, only Nixon could have gone to China.

Well this can't be right. Tex already said Hutchinson doesn't have a chance, only Palin.

She might be a safe female choice, not being too young, not being to radical, but does she garner enough? I wonder.

There really aren't many good choices for McCain, who will lose no matter what.

I disagreed that Republicans wouldn't vote for a woman, and cited Palin as an example. I said nothing about Hutchinson's chances.

You really can't read.

If Hutchison, why not Elizabeth Dole? Is she not available?

Intrade is tanking for Romney and Hutchinson's numbers are rising. I would be surprised with a Hutchinson pick over Romney. She is pro-choice (something I just learned about her- I always assumed she was pro-life). This could be amusing.

Your inference is flawed.
