I think, in a subconscious or backhanded sort of way, your resentment of the LDS church is blinding you to the fact that most pundits believe Romney is going to be the pick, and that he is, politically, the safest pick available.

My acknowledgment of that fact is hardly an endorsement of Romney.

Who in the world do you find to be a better pick for the guy politically? The Republican cupboard is bare. That much this election cycle has made clear.

She might be a safe female choice, not being too young, not being to radical, but does she garner enough? I wonder.

Intrade is tanking for Romney and Hutchinson's numbers are rising. I would be surprised with a Hutchinson pick over Romney. She is pro-choice (something I just learned about her- I always assumed she was pro-life). This could be amusing.
