It's interesting that the BYU fans who are not zoob homers are most ignored on that site.

There is a major difference between "non-zoob homer" and someone who is negative all the time about every aspect of Cougar football.
Fusnik routinely predicted doom and gloom about the team, even saying if BYU lost to Arizona that the season would be over in 2006. http://www.cougarboard.com/noframes/...tml?id=1984683 Quote:
Though I doubt fussy's penchant for rooting against the Cougars is the reason he's ignored. The religious trolling is probably a bigger factor. Same for Archaea and Waters. |

I've been trying to get on forced ignore with Lingo for two weeks now, to no avail. Maybe I need to get nastier.

Understood.
Still, based on the previous season, it was still a pretty good prediction.

I don't really have the same thoughts about sports as most folks. For me, college sports is entertainment. I enjoy talking about it and going to see games, but when the game is over, it's over and life goes on. That said, I think I can understand what you're saying - it's a glass-half-full vs. glass-half-empty kind of thing, eh? Some folks prefer to be pessimistic as to not be disappointed, while others believe in the power of positive thinking. I just see it as a glass with water in it.

It's not a matter of pessimism vs. optimism.
Do you believe that losing the UCLA game means Utah will win only 5 or 6 games this year? Because that's what fusnik was saying; that a loss to Arizona would doom BYU. They'd lose most of their games that season, Beck was a horrible QB and Bronco was a bad coach. |
