Default Do you ever get the feeling...

That we are closer to acting like pharisees then we are to being what Christ envisioned for us. We sure seem to put a lot of weight upon a lot of little rules.

it's a lot easier to get worried about clothing than it is to worry about materialism.

also, we are wonderful, we are special, we are chosen, I'm so grateful to be a latter-day saint....there's a lot of back-patting.

back-patting in the first two sessions is only intended to balance out the brow-beating we get in priesthood. Neither really impact me though.

We no longer have theologians, elymosynarians, or those contemplating the eternities, but rather we peddle folk wisdom and seek to promote the IBM of religions, conformist and fundamental, with no joy or happiness. Phony priesthood voices.

Now there are many good among us, but the desire to imitate the GAs who imitate whomever, makes for a very dull lot.

We perpetuate our folk wisdom and call it "religion." Where is our true religion?

When will we as a culture awaken from our slumber?

Who was the French guy, he was actually somewhat refreshing?

Materialism just mentioned.

A citation to a pastoral letter to Timothy, one of dubious authorship, just made.

Indeed. It's depressing.

If you are referring to white shirts when participating in the sacrament, aren't you past your rebellious stage yet? Perhaps you can get the Church to change temple clothing to light blue or some other multi-colored shirt........or you could strap some nads on and buy a white shirt.

If you are not talking about white shirts, my apologies.

C'mon, if you can't deal with little rules, how are you going to deal with big rules when they come along?
