Default Utah DA's are such pussies

I'm really getting sick of these DA's not pushing for the death penalty in these high profile cases.

First, Mark Hacking gets like 6 to life for shooting his sleeping wife and throwing her in the trash. Then Craig Gregerson pleas down after killing and defiling the dead body of a 6 year old girl.

And this piece of work gets 20 to life WITH the possibility of parole after gunning down his wife in front of his kids and everyone else at a church parking lot.

Good hell, we have the death penalty here, f***king use it already!

Agreed, Venkman.

I favor the death penalty because it is justice. The victims of homicide are not given the same opportunity as the murderers to enter a plea in order to remain alive.

1. More resources to try capital cases vs. plea-bargain (factor of 100+?)
2. Losing a case would hurt them bad politically
3. Plea bargaining appears not to hurt them politically
4. Family doesn't have the stomach to go through the trial
5. They would have gotten the death penalty in Houston

Our thirst for blood has got us into a needless war in Iraq. Perhaps we can slow that thirst.

Is this the kinder, gentler Archaea? Resident pacifist and amnesty activist?

I respect Texas. They're all about justice. Leave the mercy stuff to God.

Excellent point. Mercy should never outweigh justice.

Are you talking about justice or vengeance?

I know it's pretty obvious, but I should point it out. The killers in all these cases were white.
