Default National Review says only Romney, Huntsman, Santorum fit for presidency

http://www.nationalreview.com/articl...d-editors?pg=1

It's largely an editorial that says don't vote for Newt.

I have been under the impression that the NRO felt a little burned by their endorsement of Romney in 2008, that they lost some credibility.

So they have been and are holding off on going towards Romney, although this is their inclination and desire. They'd rather be following than leading.

It's clear that the GOP elites and the big-money people want Romney. But the averge Joe rabble rousing conservatives do not want him. They want a bomb-thrower, a torch-carrier. Who cares if he is a deeply flawed guy who has never been a government executive, never run for or held state or national office, and serially betrays (in his personal and public life) the people closest to him.

I'd vote for Paul before I voted for Gingrich. The idea of him commanding our military makes me deeply afraid. In fact, I might vote for Obama over Gingrich.

here's the subtitle to the article on the NRO front page:

Quote:
Republicans should have the good sense to reject a hasty marriage to Newt Gingrich, which would risk dissolving in acrimony. —The Editors
Forget acrimony. STD more like it.

And now, Ann Coulter. Inexplicably.

Ann Coulter hates Gingrich. She is campaigning against him like her pants on fire. For example, she has been very critical of Newt's plan with judges.
