Default I have heard Democrats say repeatedly

how terrible the last 8 years have been. Economically, foreign affairs and socially. Bush is worst President of all time.

OK, the dems have had the Congress the last two years. Obama is the leader of "there needs to be a change".

1) Can someone tell me what important legislation Obama put forth, whether it passed or not, that was going to help change the lousy condition the country is in. I would like to see what his plans really are, not just campaign slogans. What changes did he try to get through as Senator that would have helped.

2) What has the dems put through that Bush vetoed that would have helped the situation we find ourselves in right now.

I'm just curious why the Dems, after promising to end the war, have continued to fund it.

When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.

Because when they have threatened not to fund the war, people like you have criticized them for hating the troops and rushing to surrender.

They could have fought that fight, and it would have been a loser in the media and with the public. Then they wouldn't be in a position to take the White House and make big gains in the House and Senate where they actually CAN do something about it.

He was in a Senate with a 1 seat majority and a president who would veto anything that would represent real "change." Are you really surprised in that environment change didn't occur led by Obama (or anyone else)?

Heh, right. They are going to keep funding the war so they can stop it. Brilliant strategy.

In other words, they lied through their teeth in order to get elected.

The media would have praised them for surrendering, as the majority of the media are liberals.

Yes, THAT is the translation. That the Dems are hiding the ball on ending the war. You really are a brilliant analyst, Tex. You may be the only person in America who thinks they are trying to sneakily end the war in Iraq.

They are trying to have their cake and eat it too, and you admitted as much.

So getting elected is more important than one's principles?

They can do something about today if they want. They are cowards.
