A question for the Legalese on here
I was just watching bits of a Documentary about the Chandra Levy Missing Persons case.
They were talking about Rep. Gary Condit. They said that the search was expanded to include the 1 bedroom apartment that his neighborhood was in. They did this because they considered him a "person of interest" and not a suspect". So my question is what's the difference in the eyes of lawyers and/or investigators when it comes to someone being a "person of interest" or a "suspect?"

a person of interest may be a person who might be a suspect, or might have evidence of the person who is a suspect. I'm not a criminal lawyer, so I'm rusty on that.

Gary Condit is the one American who benefitted from 9/11. He was the lead story in every newscast up to September 10th. I haven't heard his name on tv once since 9/11.

It's kind of like when you're scheming on a girl and you get to know her best friend first, so you can get some background and figure out the best way to make your move. The friend is a person of interest.

I'm just stunned that you'd take my question and turn it into an attack on a Republican politician.

Rocky, what you should have done here was point out that the difference would be that while Giuliani was cheating on his wife too, his mistress never disappeared under very suspicious circumstances.
