Default "Chapter of Rules for Marriage among the Saints"

This revelation was presented to the LDS General Assembly and canonized in August 1835. It appeared as Section 101 in that year's publication of the Doctrine and Covenants.

In 1876 it was removed from the D&C and replaced with Section 132, the section which lays out eternal marriage and polygamy.

In light of recent trends, maybe it's time to switch it back.

See Brodie, No Man Knows My History (Knopf, 1945), pg. 185; Van Wagoner, Mormon Polygamy: A History (Signature, 1989), pg. 6 and fn.; Bushman, Rough Stone Rolling (Knopf, 2005), pg. 323 for context.

I like the sealing ceremony better.
