I can certainly appreciate BYU's position, but if they are going to start pulling games off of channels like Versus to put them on BYU-TV, they need to upgrade their equipment. BYU-TV is to Standard Definition what SD is to HD. The quality is similar to old taped highlights of NBA games from the 70s.

Certainly it would probably be better for the game to be on Versus than BYU-TV in terms of exposure. |

KJZZ just picked up this game as well. Not sure if it will be on BYU-TV as well as KJZZ but DJ said that Thurl Bailey and himself would be calling the game.

I would bet that more people will watch this game with the KJAZZ/KBYU combination than if it were on VS.
Only die hards looking for the game nationally are going to seek the game out on VS. Most of those same people will seek it out and find it on BYUTV. A ton more local people will watch the game on KJZZ than if it were VS. This is good for generating local interest and getting fans out to the Marriott Center and supporting this team. If BYUTV takes the KJZZ feed, the production values shouldn't be too bad. |
