Default who gets elected to be president first?

does a woman, black person, or non-protestant non catholic (i.e. mormon or other minority generally unaccepted religion) get elected president first? right now i would say hillary as a woman has the best chance of getting elected

Default While the left would love to have Mrs. Clinton...

my guess would be that an African American conservative would be elected before she would be. Unless, of course, the USA falls out of the Almighty's good graces and if that happens, Mrs. Clinton just might be the first.

If we could get a conservative black woman to run for President we'd be able to see if the left and right could actually come together.

Condi Rice, where are you?

While I tend to agree with you Garth, Condi would get villified by the looney left more than George W has been.

It would be interesting to see a Billary vs. Condi showdown.

If you would have asked me 5 years ago, I would have said Colin Powell is the man. Since that has essentially fizzled out, I agree that Obama could be moving to Pennsylvania Ave before a woman or minority religious member.

I don't feel like our country is quite ready for a female president, despite the apparent popularity of Geena Davis' new show.

Default I agree that the left would villify Rice..

which is why I mock all things liberal and most things Democrat.

The party of tolerance is only tolerant if one agrees with towing the left line.

I can definitely see Obama becoming President before any woman who is currently on the scene. I keep telling myself that Hilary can really win in '08, but only because I don't want to jinx myself. I honestly don't think she has much of a chance for many reasons, not the least of which is that there are many moderate female democrats who won't vote for her for the sole purpose that she's a woman. If that's the case, she's not very electable.

Default Condi NOT a fiscal conservative

Condi supports affirmative action and world aid programs. I imagine she'd be a more intelligent version of W. I'd vote for her if she promised to balance the budget and not invade Iran.
