I mean why her in aprticular? It seems ot me that mANy people, expecially on CB, seem to really dislike her. My guess is that she is going to be forced to moderate her views, except when she is stumping at home in the Bay area.

My gut just tells me that she is incapable of being anything other than a far left-winger and now that she will be the Speaker of the House she's going to push her ideas as hard as she can because she and the other extremists hate Bush enough to ignore the good of the country and do anything they can to embarrass him - and he may just deserve being embarrassed a bit.

The socialist wing of the Dems have been waiting for 12 years to push their agenda and won't want to ease up just to maintain power. They'll do what they can to make the most of this.

If you're right this will play right into the republicans' hands. I think she is smarter than that. You must remneber her home district and account for the fact that some of the things she says she almost certainly says just to keep them happy. I am no fan of Pelosi, but I also don't think she is a whacko.

I can agree with this. All politicians say and do whatever needed to remain in DC.

Still, with Pelosi, Rangle and the rest, for me, they're guilty until proven innocent.

I think you and SU may be right. This was my conlcusion also, but I wasn;t sure if anyone elswe saw it too. Sometimes the crowd over there reminds me of the mob of villagers from an old horror flick with pitchforks and torches. Of course, sometimes we here at CG are like the scientist watching Godzilla attack the city while pleadiung with the army to try to reason with him before killing him.
