Ghostbusters is the only movie I've ever watched with the DVD's "Directors Comments." Apparently, Bill Murray did pretty much the whole thing ad-lib. Harold Ramis said something like, "I remember them giving him a script, but I guess he never read it."

"Hey, where do these stairs go?"

"They go up."

Yes, that must have been quite a surprise for all of you. In truth, I hadn't heard of Seka until the early '80s or so when the SF Chronicle had a half-page ad for her appearance on a local stage (I don't recall if it was the American Conservatory Theatre, the Masonic Auditorium, or the Pussycat). I remember being struck by the effusive praise lavished on her within the ad--this wasn't the kind of cheesy, tawdry stuff I used to read with guilty pleasure as an adolescent when Blaze Starr and Tempest Storm came to town. No, Seka's advance men provided florid copy so lavishly adulatory it created mixed feelings of wanting to (a) support her for President and (b) seek the guidance of an understanding bishop. I won't detail the ad here, since I've found an alternative for the former and I don't wish to bother the latter.

I swear I have never seen or been in the presence of Seka, tempting though it was.

Archaea starts a thread devoted on an ancient Egyptian deity, and we immediately move to porn stars (okay, I was alone on that) and great lines from Ghostbusters. By the way, wasn't there a recent political rally of some kind mentioned on the board where one of the signs read simply, "There is no Gozer, Only Zool"?

A quick google image search (safe search on, relax) for Seka produced the following picture:

And people hint I might have some fixations on the subject?

Here I was posing a philosophical question and the old pervert reverts to his pre-missionary form. Say three Goatnappers and go thy way.

Despite the pleas of the overaged, spandex wearing pervert, my reference was to Seker.

Wowzers, thanks for that. With one picture, taken apparently a full geological epoch past her prime, you have snuffed out any remaining embers of desire once kindled by the SF Chronicle.
