yep. I'm with you 100%. We have to address deficit spending, and we have to address it now. I don't trust any Republican to do it. The party has proven that they'll just continue to spend more and tax less. Our currency has lost forty percent of its value in just eight years. That's staggering when you think about it.

trillions.

Obama is proposing over two trillion; McCain twice as much.

Keep in the mind.......these days the issue is electing the supporting the lesser of two evils. I believe Dems will spend more (as articulated by Ohbama recently). The Repubs will spend, but less.

That's the unfortunate reality. The Dem's are much better street fighters. Think of the last huge entitlement. Prescription drugs. How could you vote against helping seniors on fixed incomes obtain prescription drugs. The Repubs just don't have the nads to go against the Dems and the media and political correctness.

And you trust the Dems though? Ok.

How much has politics played a role in your life as opposed to religious activity?

For some persons, political participation played a substitute for religion. Will those of us of a more conservative, libertarian perspective make religion an even greater part, or will you seek a different Ersatz?
Professional victims' defining characteristic is not the identity of their oppressor. It is their own identity as victims. You can defeat the Republican party, completely eviscerate it, and still be able to blame corporations, racism, the police, government and the man for all of your problems.

You keep saying that, but I don't remember you posting a link to show those numbers.

I did. But then the conversation simply turned into something about Obama's projected revenues falling short so that even though he's projecting a lesser deficit, he would end up creating a larger one. But McCain's projected revenues and expenditures are accurate.

I think I've got that right.

So is this akin to dying a slow, excruciating death as opposed to a relatively quick painless death?

I must have missed that.

No worries. If I really wanted to see the numbers, I could look it up for myself.
