Admittedly, I dont know your history with them, IPU, or anyone else.

If they have posted private info, then yes, it is weak. Although I highly doubt they threatened to post your resume.

I do think it is out of bounds to post stuff of the tone that you posted. The guy is asking you for help, I would assume because you, in some way, represented that you were willing to offer the help, and now you use that to embarass him? To me, that is just stupid.

People here and on CB say and do PLENTY of things in public on the board to be used against them for humor or vitriol. Why delve into the personal stuff?

Do what you want. I am just adding my two cents.

If you post his resume, on principle, it would be one post I will not read.
