I never watched Taxi, Mash, Mary Tyler Moore Show, All in the Family. Unless you count an episode or two during reruns.

I did watch Andy Griffith Show and Three's Company.

M*A*S*H is a good show, but I'm surprised you like it that much Rocky. All of it's episodes are based on extreme left-wing points-of-view.

I basically listed the best sitcoms by decade. I excluded the newer, non laugh track versions because I think of them as different than sitcoms. I think of them more as soapcoms. They have more of a running story. So my list basically contains the best of the:

40's/50's: Lucy
60's: Andy Griffith

80's: Cheers
90's: Seinfeld
2000's: I like Raymond as a straight laugh track style sitcom. Others have mentioned many of my favorites such as Arrested Development. But as I said, I consider those to be a different animal.

I'd put Get a Life ahead of Seinfeld in the 90s. I'd put Taxi ahead of Cheers in the 80s.

I know it does, but I've been watching it since I was younger and I really enjoy it.

I agree. I love Lucy is the hands down best, plus they set the standard. My wife and I have started to record them and watch them again. Watched the Harpo Marx episode the other day. Was wonderful. I got it scheduled to record the grape stomping one this week and the stealing John Waynes footprints one that my wife has never seen.

50s - I Love Lucy
60s - The Andy Griffith Show
70s - Newhart
80s - Three's Company
90s - Get A Life
00s - Arrested Development

Although, if you saw the very last episode of Newhart, I can see where the confusion would set in...

You are correct. I got the two show titles mixed up. I meant The Bob Newhart Show.
