I am going to see "I am Legend." I'm a bit of a buff of the apocalyptic genre and Will Smith is often good (Throw out Wild, Wild West and MiB II, and the guy has a decent body of work).

Do you think my wife would notice if I snuck out of the Ward Christmas party to go see this?

It might certainly be time better spent...

I'm pretty sure Pirates 3 would be time better spent.

Yes this is the third remake of this movie. The first also carried the book title I believe. I am familiar with the story though I never read the book. I hate the vampire genre so I'll see this if the wife wants to but I doubt I'll go on my own.

Ok, thanks for the info.

If there are vampires in this film, I may have to reconsider if I see it. I don't know why, but I dig vampire films.

I agree 100% with this movie review. I agreed with Rocky on a movie. My life is now over.

It's the same story as Omega Man from the same book published in 1954. This is the third time the book has been made into a film:

Last Man on Earth with Vincent Price
Omega Man with Charlton Heston
I Am Legend with Will Smith

It's considered the most compelling and realistic vampire story ever written.
