Three Dog Night - Around the World Album

Grand Funk - Were an American Band 45 (Yellow vinyl)

I had one of those record players where the turntable folded down and the speakers swung out on the sides. I remember not really enjoying the Three Dog Night album that much and it didn't receive much play.

On a side note I bought CSN&Y So Far on vinyl, cassette and CD.

I was the youngest of six kids so I didn't need to buy much vinyl. There were records lying all over the house. We had a big box of 45's and I used to build up a big stack of them on the record player and let them play one by one. And when I started to get some of my own money to buy music, everyone switched to 8-track tapes. I bought far more 8-tracks than I did vinyl. I think my first 8-track might have been REO Live. Not the gay REO of the 80's but the "Ridin' the Storm Out" variety of the 70's. I played that thing to death. A few other 8-tracks I remember:

Rush - 2112
Blue Oyster Cult - Agents of Fortune
Ted Nugent (self-titled)
Uriah Heep - Demons and Wizards
Grand Funk - We're an American Band

I bought a vinyl 45: Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, Crimson & Clover

I never really bought any vinyl albums - I had tapes. My first cassette LP was The Police, Synchronicity.

Gidget loves The Police. When we were dating we were driving in her car and she popped in some Police tribute album. I made a face to which she said to me, "You don't like The Police? How can you not like The Police? It's un-American to not like The Police!"

I replied, "The Police aren't even American!"

The first Boston album followed shortly by the first Van Halen album.

Didn't KCGL relocate to Orem for a while?
