Springtime for Hitler by Bialystock & Bloom on Broadway. That play rocked!

Movie that I was most pleasantly surprised with recently was The Rundown starring The Rock. It was on TNT recently, I'd never even heard of it, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Good buddy picture with fantastic fight scenes.

A good list so far. I'm going to name one that sounds like a joke, but I'm serious: Mean Girls. My wife was watching it on one of the Turner movie channels and I got roped in. I thought it was very well written and I was not surprised to learn that Tina Fey wrote it. She's a very talented lady.

Life is Beautiful.
Normally I can't stand most Foreign or Independent movies that end up getting an avalanche of hype from the critics, but this movie was great. I was thoroughly engrossed from beginning to end.

Boiler Room and Rounders. Both of these movies I had little expectation of but thought both were excellent, particularly Rounders which was just ahead of the poker craze.

One more that absolutely blew me away was American History X. I watched it by myself in the theater. I needed to write a paper for a TMA class and chose this movie because I knew it was R and was about race issues.

My favorite part of Rounders was when Matt Damon told all the judges what cards they were holding. Pretty funny.
